Final Tournament and Boat Trip

 Saturday 27th July 2024 By Arthur Bateman  First night back in Zambia after coming back from Zimbabwe. The accommodation is called Fawlty Towers (Yes, it is named after the TV show) and it is epic! Breakfast was a full fry up of eggs, beans, sausages and tomatoes, which was delicious. Then we made our way to our last tournament. However, one of the buses ferrying the children to the tournament crashed. Luckily only the driver was onboard as it was returning and he was safe. This meant the tournament was only an hour and a half long. However, we still had lots of fun and I made friends with all the children from the Jesus Christ Community Club.  After the tournament we returned to Fawlty Towers and chilled by the pool. I shared a Pizza for lunch, and then at 3pm we got on the minibuses to the river cruise. The boat was amazing. From huge Crocodiles and Hippos (don't fall in) to Elephants and arguably the greatest sunset I have ever seen. Honestly in describable with words...

Thursday 25th July 2024

By Charles Guyett Stargazed tonight. I don't think I've ever seen so many stars, they were all in random clusters and pairs, the sky was beautiful. We slept on the field just looking up. Woke up at 6am for the sunrise. We went to coach the children at 7:30, arrived at 7:45 and did 2 hours of hard work, we went to the nursing home to help paint and clean new and old buildings. Happy Birthday Bailey and Esme. After the nursing home, we went to camp and our bus broke down. Afterwards, we had sausages and rice for dinner which reminded me of home. Today was great and I can't wait for tomorrow. By Oscar Fordyce I woke up at around 6:30 after a night of stargazing with most of the group in our sleeping bags, I had a warm shower before breakfast, which was porridge and eggs on toast which was pretty good. 23rd and 24th July 2024 - Zim Coaching and Community Work

 23rd July 2024 By Olivia Scharinger Today, after we got ready, we had breakfast (which was so yummy) and then a couple of groups went to the old peoples home, whilst the others, including  mine, went to do training. The first group was normal, but for the second, we had load of children so me and a couple of others had to play games with some of them.  It was actually really fun. At the end, we also met a really cute 4 year old boy who gave us all hugs. After training, we all had lunch at the old peoples home, which was nice.  Then some groups left to do training whilst mine and some others stayed.  My group was doing painting, which I thought was really fun and satisfying.  It was really hot though so we went to sit inside for a bit.  When we finished, we all went back to the campsite, had showers and chilled for a bit before going out to dinner. Dinner was the best thing ever!  When we got there, the place was really nice and so was the music....
