Final Tournament and Boat Trip
Saturday 27th July 2024 By Arthur Bateman First night back in Zambia after coming back from Zimbabwe. The accommodation is called Fawlty Towers (Yes, it is named after the TV show) and it is epic! Breakfast was a full fry up of eggs, beans, sausages and tomatoes, which was delicious. Then we made our way to our last tournament. However, one of the buses ferrying the children to the tournament crashed. Luckily only the driver was onboard as it was returning and he was safe. This meant the tournament was only an hour and a half long. However, we still had lots of fun and I made friends with all the children from the Jesus Christ Community Club. After the tournament we returned to Fawlty Towers and chilled by the pool. I shared a Pizza for lunch, and then at 3pm we got on the minibuses to the river cruise. The boat was amazing. From huge Crocodiles and Hippos (don't fall in) to Elephants and arguably the greatest sunset I have ever seen. Honestly in describable with words...
Looks like great fun, enjoy the African adventure!
ReplyDeleteWe are really loving these photos, especially the animals and the action shots from the games. Looks amazing and can't wait to hear all about it. Love to you all, especially to Milly from Jeff, Kate, Lucy and Elma! xx
ReplyDeleteLoving hearing everything that's going on, we can't wait for the blogs every evening. It sounds like such a phenomenal adventure, but I don't doubt it's very exhausting for you all, especially if you are up at 5.30a.m. on a regular basis!
ReplyDeleteWe see you have moved camps today, so we hope you settle well into your new home for the next few nights and hope the walk wasn't too arduous with your cases in the heat!
Keep up the great work with all of the coaching. We love to see the photos of what you are all doing. Although over a week into the trip, I know many of the parents I see, and us included, are missing our children heaps, so if there's a chance we can have more photos of them, we would really appreciate it.
Don't be too jealous Amelie, but I'm heading off with Sophia tomorrow for our girls trip, so I'll send you some photos of our trip (to the phone you don't have!). I will write again when I'm back as sadly you cannot comment on this blog via iphones.
Much love to everyone from us all in the UK, Especially to Amelie - love you.
Mum, Dad, Sophia and Winston xxxx
