Hey to anyone reading this, its Brooke here. Hi to all my family - Mum, Dad, SJ and Tash, also hi to the cats, Marie, Mavis and even Jasper. I miss you all so much but this past week has been truly amazing and I wouldn't miss it for the whole world. Everyone here has been so welcoming and kind towards me as well as the whole group too. The first place was lovely and the huts were very comfortable, you will be happy to know that the food has been incredible. Going around to the schools and coaching has honestly been the best part of this trip, to see so many kids so excited and enthusiastic about playing tag rugby is really heart warming and I couldn't ask for anything better than that.
Today was travel day, where we were making our way to Zimbabwe, the coach travel was average if you ask me. We got to Sizinda camp a little later than expected but the people, accommodation and food here are lovely and I can't wait to spend the next few days here.
I am excited to see you once again just so I can tell you everything, love you all, especially you SJ, love you little sis xx

Today was a long day with an early start of 5.15am, and breakfast at 5.45am, me and my friends had little time to say goodbye to Eureka camp. It was an amazing camp and I will miss it. We set off around 7am in the coach. I tried to sleep on the coach but only managed about one hour due to a previous early night. The bus was very hot near the end of our journey which was 6 hours, so we were happy to get some fresh air when dropping donations at Fawlty Towers. We then continued to the Zambian border. We made the long 2km walk across in the hot sun across Victoria Falls which was a beautiful site. On our way to Sizinda camp there was a beautiful orange sunset stretching across the sky. When we made it to the camp we ate a delicious dinner and got into our rooms. After a cold shower me and my friends sat around the camp fire to tell stories. Although long, today was a nice rest after two days of tournaments.
Mum, Dad and Martha, I am having an amazing time and missing you all xxx

ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible trip you are having. I've loving the daily updates about all your adventures and it felt so good to read yours today Holly! I miss you so much but am so pleased that you are having such an incredible experience. Sounds like the food has been more plentiful than past trips so that's good I'm sure! I've loved seeing all the photos of everything you've been doing - and so much wildlife without even being on safari! Enjoy your new experience in Zimbabwe - the walk to the border sounds spectacular - crossing Vic Falls to cross the border - I don't suppose you'll experience anything quite like that again!! We're all looking forward to hearing about your adventures when you get back - I haven't forgotten we'll be celebrating with tacos!! I love you so much and can't wait to see you.
